About Me

Hello! My name is Gerardo and I enjoy the process of creating something out of code. My interest in programming started back in 2019 when I was automating a process for the heat treat department at a bearing manufacturing plant. Seeing the tool I created benefiting the company and my coworkers excited me. From that day onwards I have completed a full stack web development boot camp at UC San Diego extension, completed a full paid training program from mthree, a training partner for Wiley a global leader in research and education, and have worked with clients integrating custom features to their websites.

Website for Salton Sea Science, a community science project that collects data on the Salton Sea. Refactored to TypeScript and integrated netlify cms.

Bracket explore is a landing page concept created as a way for me to learn gatsby, contentful, and material-ui.

pokeBase is an unofficial web application that provides a list of pokemon and their respective classifications, including; species, evolutions, type, weakness and resistances from the PokeApi.

Small scale application using NASA Api to gather astronomy images of the day. Images are displayed in descending order by date, started with the current date. Image details are displayed on a secondary page with title, date, and copyright information.
